Case study – HPS built 3 new houses for sale after purchasing land near Durham City.
The 4 bedroom detached houses were constructed to the highest standard and included custom kitchens, bathrooms and sun rooms.
All building works were carried out including joinery, brickwork, plastering, decorating, electrical works, plumbing and roofing.
Due to the ground conditions, the properties had piled foundations.

The entire ground floor of this residential detached listed building was flooded resulting in extensive remedial works being required. After stripping out the damaged areas, the property was dried before HPS started reinstating to its previous condition.
Due to its listed status a sympathetic approach was taken as the works comprised, replacement timber floors, plastering, electrical and plumbing works including replacing an oil fired boiler and Aga range cooker; renewing the custom built kitchen as well as full redecoration.
Previous repairs unrelated to the flooding had blocked off airbricks to the perimeter walls thus, preventing ventilation to the floor void which was causing a separate problem. Hps installed new periscopic vents within the solid brick walls to increase ventilation to the floor void and resolve a potential long term issue.
